Dear Caritas friends,

The coming of Jesus into this world perfectly embodies the meaning of Caritas. We stand for the hope Christ’s presence among us produces. He gave more than his voluntary service, all his life He dedicated to the poor.

Dear collaborators and volunteers, in all of you I see the birth of Jesus in the lives of those in need. They are many, and we love them all as our sisters and brothers, so great is our love! When we draw close to them we offer them the gifts that the Kings from the East offered to Jesus and even if we can only bring a small gift, as the Shepherds brought, we will still receive from them a lovely smile as it may be the first time in their lives that they feel such love

I wish you a very serene feast of Christmas as well as a fruitful new year.
